Cricket? Who??

It's been a lot more lively around Upwey town and we're loving it!

We're beginning to find our groove with the meals and the coffee is superb.  The feedback has been wonderful  and we're expecting our first review to be published soon in the Hillscene zine. We have a few locals on board already which is a real comfort not to mention the tourists who are always welcomed with a huge hug in a mug.

Lot's of Brits about - why is anyone's guess :)

Finding life amongst the tumbleweeds.

So, we're up and running without the fabulous face lift [thank you Melbourne weather] and it's been a month of you win some, you lose some.

Upwey Main Street has had the feel of a ghost town at times and then, without warning or reason, a buzz resonates off the walls of our tiny cafe and suddenly we're alive with the hype of being the new kid in town.

So come on Upwey, get out of Knox and get back to your local!  We miss you.

Here's to a Happy Christmas to all, and an adventurous New Year. x

Keep on keepin' on.

As the ever elusive opening looms, our eager public await patiently. The little shop on Main Street is about to be transformed with a simple coat of paint and a whole lotta love.

Although it has been a drawn out process, the Magpie family has come together and we're hopeful we'll be on the floor and cooking up a myriad of delicious -and nutritious- dishes to tantalise and delight.

Catch you at the Magpie really, really soon. Promise.
